The bookstore at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral is opening on Mother's Day, May 10. Hooray!!! It will be open after both morning services, and we welcome anyone -- especially you.

We hope to use this blog as one of many ways that we will stay in touch with you. We want you to tell us how we are doing. We want your recommendations for new books and subject matter, additional services, and more -- starting with your opinions on the hours that we should be open as asked for in the poll above.

Yes, this is a store. But it is also a ministry. A ministry that will foster community and education and thought and discussion. A ministry that is designed to be self-sustaining. And a ministry that, with your help in growing it, may be able to support other ministries for the congregation, the community, and the greater Church.

We will also use this space to post information on new titles that have arrived in the bookstore, and for occasional reviews of books. Watch for announcements and reviews in The Angelus and the diocesan West Missouri Spirit as well.

Thank you for your support and your ideas.

John H
